That’s it, you’re so passionate about writing that you’ve decided to make a living from it and want to start a career in copywriting, Welcome! You’ve researched what it is and you like what you’ve read. You already have your text editor open or your account registered in social networks, but what now?

Before jumping into the ring you should at least have the basics of how to do copywriting and by following these 5 tips you will be on your way to become one of the best in the art of persuading with your texts.

Copywriting is a profession and although there is not necessarily a university degree, and anyone can be a copywriter if they set their mind to it, it is necessary to work hard and constantly, practice and, above all, always have the desire to learn more.

Study and document yourself

Let’s start with the most obvious one, which is to study. Currently there are many online resources that can help you. There are both free and paid ones, look for the one that suits you best.

Disable your ad blocker (if you have one)

What better way to learn than by seeing what is being done out there. Turn off your ad blocker, browse the sites that interest you and see what the ads are saying and how they are saying it.

This tip goes a bit hand in hand with the previous one, sign up for the newsletters of your favorite websites, with this, you will periodically receive an email. Email marketing is a powerful tool and an important source of work for us copywriters. Observe how, through an email, sites communicate with their audience. How does reading that email make you feel? Does it motivate you to do something? Did you learn something new with the information you read?

Choose a website and copy their texts, then improve them.
